National Family Caregiver Month

 __________________________________________________________________________________________

November marks National Family Caregivers Month (NFCM).  This month represents and opportunity to show our appreciation for alCaregiverAnd Librarianl the amazing caregivers in our lives.

The Caregiver Action Network (CAN) a non-profit organization to provides education, peer support, and free resources to family caregivers, is leading NFCM activities with their #CaregiverAnd theme. #CaregiverAnd encourages family caregivers to celebrate the passions and interests that enrich their lives.

As the campaign webpage states, “Being a family caregiver is incredibly important, but it is critical not to lose sight of who you are. Your sense of self makes your life complete. This is an essential component of self-care that can ultimately prevent caregiver burnout and depression”.
