Webinar: The Nutrition Screening Initiative’s DETERMINE CHECKLIST and Senior Malnutrition
Older Americans Act (OAA) Nutrition Programs used the DETERMINE Your Health Checklist to identify over 700,000 seniors who were at high malnutrition risk over the course of one year. And while it's estimated that 50% of older adults are at risk for malnutrition, there are no standardized screening tools available outside of OAA programs. Register for this free webinar on September 8 at 3:30 p.m. EDT to learn how the Administration on Aging and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics plan to increase awareness of the magnitude of malnutrition among older adults and the available methods to screen for it.
IN THIS WEBINAR YOU WILL:
• Hear about the ready-to-use tools and simple messages to increase awareness of senior malnutrition in your area;
• Understand how to implement the DETERMINE checklist; and
• Learn about the Administration on Aging and the Academy of Nutrition Dietetic's plan to increase the understanding of malnutrition and the available methods to screen for it.
