The Strong for Life Program is a strengthening exercise program designed by physical therapists for home use by older adults to improve strength, balance, and overall health. Thera-bands are used to provide force for strengthening muscles. The program was developed by Boston University’s Health & Disability Research Institute and tested in collaboration with Faith in Action volunteer coaches in ten communities.
